Forgive me if this is old news, but it had escaped my attention.  According to the news report, DARPA is soliciting proposals for "chembots", robots built of shape-memory materials that are capable of morphing into a new shape so that they can squeeze into openings smaller than their original form and that can then reconstitute themselves on the other side.  Now that's a robot that is a real weapons system, you bet!  The T2 is being funded, even as we speak!!!!
