Whatever it is, I didn't do it.

Just noticed this over on TechCrunch. A product called NetCOSM allows you to visualize your traffic in 3D Space. Cool!! You can see packets moving in and out, and from the video what looks to be attacks hitting a firewall. You can zoom around mouse over for packet info.

Question is, is it practical or just cool. I sway toward just cool.

Though I have to hand it to these guys. If this is in fact the way you can really see your traffic; they’ve redefined a space.

NetCOSM (check the video/animation on the page).

In any case still very cool. Cool

If Blackberrys are addictive cellphones, Channel9 is the ultimate addictive website.
Nice, if i had any use for it! My dad refuses to network... so 3 seperate modems it is!
Wow. That would be *very* useful, but I bet that either

a. It costs more than I can afford.
b. Cisco snaps it up before it actually gets a final release.

I'd much rather see people like Microsoft snap up companies like this, I am sure they could get half a dozen (or more) of these types of startups for the same price as one of the big social sites.  Of course they have MSR but they can't do everything, and as I have recently learnt their remit isn't to product 'whole' products but rather just things that are incorporated into other products.
