Is it me or are the session videos nothing more than audio with 1 still image?

Make it so

The player works for me, but it's not really a good demo for Silverlight. The progress bar doesn't work, the page shows a JavaScript Error and low vertical screen resolutions like 768 force you to scroll to even see the controls.

2 more things: No volume control (the session of Anders is barely audible) and at the bottom of the player there's an ugly white background.

I know Silverlight is Beta, but aren't there demos where this stuff already works?

Download the WMV video file and it's a much better experience! Big Smile

At the event we are just shipping audio + slides.  Within the next few weeks we will pile on high quality video.

Shame you couldn't dogfood your own software here....session steamed live to Silverlight streaming using Expression Media viewable using a Silverlight player.

Any reason why this isn't possible? Bandwidth issues? I know MS UK had loads when they tried to do it with the Vista launch, but if your streaming live to Silverlight, isn't that taking the hit?

Maybe DDD5 could do it.... that would be cool.

The http://sessions.visitmix.com site is using Silverlight to render its media.  We will be moving C9, 10 and VisitMix to Silverlight ultimately as well for media rendering.  While still making sure we have other formats available for folks who can't use Silverlight (e.g. Linux)

I watched a panel discussion with only one slide, so I didn't get it. But after watching a breakout session it became clear to me that it where slides.

Also got javascript errors over here in ie7.

Thanks for the quick response.

We're still refining the solution and will get better soon.  Posting content so quickly (e.g. almost real-time during the event) is quite new for us so we're still learning and perfecting.

PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ have a volume control. I dont understand whats happening with a bunch of sites of late including channel9, on10, they dont have a volume control.

For session videos you might just want to use this quickstart
http://silverlight.net/Samples/1.1/Video-Library/run/default.html. Its better than the one right now Tongue Out
