Has anyone noticed that Windows Mobile 5 tasks no longer have the option to add audio clips and drawings as you could in Pocket PC 2003?

Does anyone know a way to get that functionality back or another application which offers the equivalent?

Strange

I don't know any apps offhand (but you could see about porting OpenOffice.org).

But I'm with you on reduced functionality. I think Microsoft has gone overboard with the two-button UI, back in 2000/02/03 you had the full menu at the bottom of the display, now you need to press the screen twice as much as before, and PocketPCs don't even have soft-keys at the bottom of the display.

Don't see how any port would help as the goal is to sync them with tasks in Outlook.

I would disagree with you about the change of menus. I think it's much better to facilitate usage without the stylus as much as possible, but it's one thing to obscure functionality, removing it is a different thing altogether.

Regarding the removal of old-school ink in Pocket Word, I think it's because for WM5 they rewrote most of Pocket Word (and rebranded it Word Mobile). If you're going to take ink notes, you use Notes, for example).

I'm sorry, where is this 'notes' you speak of?  I've got a windows mobile 5 device and there is not synching of 'notes' either.

Usedta be you could this, but this was how I used to shop for groceries Smiley with the written notes from outlook synced into my pda.  Now, I gotta print stuff out.

WM5 is a pretty big step backwards, imo
