It finds lightbulbs.
Look here: http://windowsultimate.com/blogs/announcements/archive/2007/07/02/update-on-the-windows-ultimate-extras.aspx

Not much news, except that we can expect Dreamscene by the end of the summer, and that the team still actually exists/was not a scam.

Good to see that they actually chose to react to the Extras outcry from a couple of days ago.

Pour me a cab, 'cause I can't drink no more.

What is this use of identify as a verb that seems to be prevalent in that post? Is this verb enjoying a massive surge of popularity, or was this written by people so pressured from all directions not to overpromise, underpromise, promise something else or avoid promising altogether that they found themselves writing in an odd, stilted manner?
The whole tone of that blog post seemed to say "I'm a developer held at gunpoint by marketing to say something peppy and positive, explain why the delay is a good thing and try to calm people by telling them what wonderful and enthusiastic customers they are".

Linked blog post wrote:

...we identified Windows Ultimate Extras as a unique series of add-ons ... we are actively working to deliver the remaining Extras that we identified in January ...  We will not ship the last two Extras ..until they meet the high quality bar required by our enthusiastic customers ... We cannot identify dates or provide details at this time ...

Windows SDK coders do it without a .NET

That's classic "say nothing" corpspeak. A lot of words which convey very little information.

"We would like to announce that we are announcing the announcement of these features that we have previously announced, and are intending to deliver this announcement of these new feature announcements once the announcement meets the highest quality of the announcements that we know that you have come to require of us. We strongly believe that we should only announce those announcements of features which have been thoughly tested and you can be assured that our announcements will be announced at the earliest possible date. You can expect another announcement to this effect in two months. Thank you."

So thats the interns new job then?

perhaps C9 spoils us, we come to expect so much and C9 has indeed given us so much that when MS fails on something we get a little testy.
