So I've been waiting for a critical .sql file to get emailed to me - using outlook 2003. It arrives, I drag the attachment to my sql editor and get the fantastic taskbar error msg saying I can't drop items on the taskbar ... so I go back to outlook to try again and the freaking attachment is gone!

yup ... gone - you can't edit incoming messages in your inbox but what da know ... my file is gone, I re-opened outlook, nothing - it deleted the attachment from my existing message.

freaking un-bloody-belieable - I am so tired of this crap
I don't have Outlook 2003, but I can't reproduce this in Outlook 2007.

Just a friendly public service reminder: Make sure that you submit this type of thing to the appropriate team. Bitching about it isn't going to get you anywhere unless the right people hear you.

I do feel your pain. Things like that do start to grate after a while but kettch is right. No use venting your anger here to be honest with you. You're much better off telling this to those who are responsible for sorting these problems out or going onto one of the numerous MSDN technical forums.
