After four reboots you can see all three gadgets have moved gradually from right to left. When Vista loads up the gadgets are the last set of objects to appear on my desktop. During the process all I have done is edit a word document, MSN auto-logged in and I used IE7.
This started happening as soon as I binned the dock; three months after getting Vista Ultimate on a new HP Pavillion dv6000 laptop.

Here is a
listing of known bugs with Siderbar RTM. It looks like there are a few strange positional problems in there. I would normally say check for config files or reg keys for an issue like this, but honestly it has to be storing positional data already, and if it is stored, it is being called incorrectly, so that advice would be fruitless. All you can really do is wait for a fix on it.
My bigger question to myself was why didn't I notice this, as I have developed a few personal sidebar gadgets. If I may ask a somewhat far fetched question, if you attempt to move them 50px or so from the side of your display, ie: not on the edge of your environment, does it act the same way?
