Now that was strange. I was at sqlbits (and had been press ganged into being a room monitor and organising the grok talks - so I was in an event organiser/speaker shirt) and this random bloke came up and asked me if
I wanted some C9 guys to give out.
He's not even on c9, he just met charles in redmond last year and got a bag full of them.
So I throw them into the lunch crowd (video to follow).
But really very strange that they appeared!

Hasn't your mommy warned you not to accept gifts from strangers?

Somebody send me a C9 guy.

The best way to make sure you get one is send us a postcard or a letter to:
Channel 9
One Microsoft Way
Redmond, WA
98052
We fixed the process to make sure they get sent out. Basically before someone on my team had to lick the stamps.
Now all we do is grab that postcard or letter, walk it over to our receptionist and she sends them out.

Sorry to break the news blowdart but you won't be allowed in the building because YOU'RE NOT TECHNICAL ENOUGH!
P.S. Did you break the letter "m" on your keyboard or are you just not technical enough to find it when typing words like "dismembered" or "muahahaha"

The m works when I type "MVP"

does e-postcards count?

Yeah I am just too lazy.. I should just walk over to the campus (I go past the overlake transit center everyday to work / bus #545). Or ask my brother to pick few
(he works in one of those 'evil' groups) -

I've got mine on my monitor now.
SQL Bits was fantastic by the way. Well worth it - And to everyone who didn't go... SUCKERS!!!! A free event on SQL Server! What were you thinking by not signing up! -
I had one in my cube but when I came back from a trip it had been kidnapped. An investigation is currently under way.

What was great was the excitement you showed when I gave you those guys!
I've been gradually depleting my stocks since I was over in June :
http://channel9.msdn.com/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=317560#317560).
I asked Charles for a nine guy when I was over - we met up for lunch and I left with a big bag full of the little criitters. I have a few left which I will keep bringing to dev events in the UK (hopefully DDD next month if I manage to get myself invited).
BTW Thanks to all the organisers of the SQLBits event -it was a great day!
