been a while since I 've seen this addon actually working in Outlook, it no longer keeps my hotmail accounts upto date..  does really bother me much as Gmail at least provides proper POP access, but still silly if this has been disabled or no longer updated to work?....and checked the errors and I get this :

Time: 30/10/2007 16:35:11
Error in Mail
There is an error synchronizing your mail account. Please verify your account has been configured correctly by first accessing your mail on the web.
Error: 4104.

What sort of configuration is one meant to look at. I didn't see anything in the live/hotmail options Expressionless

Does this addon even have a proper support site other than a microsoft download page? http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=7aad7e6a-931e-438a-950c-5e9ea66322d4&displaylang=en

It works just fine for me. Perplexed  I have a Hotmail Plus account, but that shouldn't make any difference.

wait actually no... I just got to emails that it won't synchronize over.  How odd...

so its not downloading your hotmail emails and synchronizing it with outlook?

Yeah, but it was working earlier today, and I'm not getting any errors, but I have more emails in my online inbox than in Outlook.
I've sam problem, and I just got this problem about 12 hours ago !!

Same over here, last night it was working and now I am getting this error message too:

The following issues occured while synchronizing with the server:

Folder Collection Sync Key: 0{9ffaee8d-9550-43e3-a294-9b67383d02c1}940

Message Collection Sync Key: 0{6be793b4-aaa0-43e5-862e-c16337ed6521}939

There is an error synchronizing your mail account. Please verify your account has been configured correctly by first accessing your mail on the web.
Error: 4102. Client. Cannot change immutable data: MessageClass.

The funny thing is that the Sent Items folder is synchronized but not the Inbox!

There is no real support page I could find, but on the Outlook Blog they tend to answer questions http://blogs.msdn.com/outlook/archive/2007/09/10/getting-help-with-the-office-outlook-connector.aspx

There are a lot of posts about this error and apparently they are working on it. I hope they fix it as soon as possible!

Also, I propose to ask politely for a real support page.
Now everything is working perfectly!

jeesh.. well after looking at that ms outlook blog mess.. I spotted someones solution to this issue of outlook connector not working...

************************

1.) Make a back-up .pst file (for all accounts).

2.) Delete EVERY e-mail account including the accounts connected to Outlook Connector.  I had to create a temporary .pst file / Personal Folder in outlook.  Go to File -> Data File Management -> Add (in Outlook 2003)

3.) Close Outlook and un-install Microsoft Outlook Connector.

4.) Reboot computer (just in case).

5.) Re-install Outlook Connector.

6.) Start Outlook and sign-in to Microsoft Outlook Connector.

7.) Outlook connector did not sync for me the first time.  Closing then re-opening Outlook seemed to make it work.

8.) Wait for everything to sync then load your .pst file(s).

9.) Re-create all of your non-Microsoft Outlook Connector e-mail accounts.

10.) Delete the temporary .pst file you created in step number 2 if you are not using it now.

************************

my method was to just delete everything that wasn't a .pst file..and then delete every thing relating to hotmail accounts including .pst files.. and any 0 byte junk..didn't bother with restart/reinstall..  and its all worked, so thats quite a few unnecessary steps skipped Smiley

opened outlook, all pop mail/archives are there.. hotmail accounts were still listed.. but inbox & etc was empty.. but then after using send/recieve for hotmails accounts, it starts downloading the headers again, at least now its synced upto the last email.. so hopefully now it just stays upto date.. and i won't have to do this again
