Nah, they already have several in the Android program. Unless they want one for themselves...to eventually muscle out the others...hmm...Cellphones are one of the only ways many people around the world access the internet, especially in other countries where getting a computer is more difficult, many kids get introduced to the internet via a cellphone, so Google might see that as an untapped resource.
