A CMU grad student has devised a way to use the Wii remote to do virtual reality head tracking.  He also seems to be doing neat HCI research like foldable interactive displays.  MSR needs to hire this guy or at least bring him in for an internship and get him working with your Surface guys on OLED-enabled technologies!

PS.  The fact that he has the same initials as me has nothing to do with this recommendation. Wink

I wonder what software he's using for the grid environment.

Sorry to bump my old thread, but I just found out about this!

Johnny Lee of Microsoft wins a TR35!

Microsoft *did* hire this guy! He's now doing research for Microsoft Hardware. That is so awesome!

So naturally my next impulse is to implore C9 to do a video with Johnny!

And speaking of TR 35's, Blaise Aguera y Arcas, aka today's C9 main page video interviewee and one of the bright minds behind PhotoSynth, won one as well. Smiley
