Well, this might sound silly, but since they were released at the same time I am curious how much the Vista SP1 team talked to the Windows Server 2008 team to tell them "Hey, we're fixing this and this and this".

In other words, I am making a poor assumption that Windows Server 2008 has same/similar technologies as Vista and now that SP1 for vista is out I am curious how many of those fixes are incorporated into Windows Server 2008 RTM out of the box?

As far as I know, Windows Server 2008 and Vista SP1 share the same codebase. I don't know if it's as close as NT4 was - there was practically no difference, kernel-wise, between NT4 Workstation and Server - but they're definitely very close.

I'm running Server 2008 beta 3, and it says "Service Pack 1" in some of the version strings.
