I can't find any word on release dates for other localised versions, though.

Well now I may officially buy Vista. Smiley

It actually shows me as having 4GB of RAM now! I know it wont use  it all but I think it's a nice touch... I didn't realise it added support for Wireless N or HD/Blu-Ray drive identification either!

Looking good so far

I'm think sp3 has been RTMed too because this link doesn't mention anything about RCs.

EDIT: That's not the sp -  just a pdf about it Sad

Hmm, so far I've not seen any difference apart from search being cripplied.. the search button was removed from the start menu.. uh ok but now when I do open 'search everywhere' the search results are just a ton of blank icons, that have no context menus, no filenames, don't do anything when double clicked.. and so on..

Start menu search listing appears to work as expected.. but disappointing to find a problem so quickly..

I've been running SP1 RC1 for months now, and am just too lazy to remove and install the RTM as I know that there is little benefit in doing so. RC1 was pretty stable.

My prime problem is blue screens and getting the "windows has recovered from a serious error" dialogue box upon re-boot. Sometimes Vista crashes more in a week than XP ever did in all my years of using it.
I tend to know where everyting is on my PC (very organised), consequently search is used not oft.

SP1 should resolve the BSOD, or at least significantly diminish it's occurrence for SP1 to be deemed a success.

Ah yes, thats quicker.. and amazingly; after doing a few searches, the search is now giving me proper results..

Previously I was getting 174 results for any search I did, and the search items were all unnamed, blank icons with no context menu and didn't react to double clicking..

I wondered if it was perhaps the search index being rebuilt, but the start menu search was returning results perfectly..

As in the start menu search entry that's been in Windows as long as it's had a start menu?

I didn't realise the antittrust removed that. How retarded. Yay for stupid judges/politicians/beaurcrats/people.

Don't forget to thank Google, since they were the first to complain about integrated search in Vista.

The search scopes are different, so the results - even if they look the same - come from different sources. Your guess of "the index was being rebuilt" is correct Smiley

No, the search button on the right (glassed) pane.

The search box in the start menu is still there (and now IT'S MINEMINEMINEALL(at least in part)MINE!!!!! Mwuahahahahahaha!)

I seriously doubt that. Maybe you have a problem somewhere else, possibly in hardware.

Because that's been there for a loong time and never done any harm before.

Removing it is 100% retarded of the antitrust courts.
