Since I started with Continental 8 a few months back, we've been working on some interesting stuff. However, since I discovered I wouldn't be able to become an MSP properly, I kindof lost heart... but that heart is back Smiley

I decided to do a few Expression Blend tutorials, as a way of keeping interest in the project up - because there are definately some interesting things to come.

So, I hope you enjoy my first part of what will probably be a 10-15 part series.

Ok, I've got them all sorted now. I was hoping to have #2 up last night, but I ended up writing #3 instead, so now you have double the treat! Big Smile

Yet again I complete a tutorial just before Monday dawns upon us!

This goes deeper into the C# to create a small media player.. I did the application a couple of days back to mess about with the MediaElement control, turns out it fitted in nicely with this tutorial, so I threw it in.

Let me know if anything I did is messed up! I hope not Smiley

These are good tutorials! Keep up the good work.

Now if only some of the MSDN articles could be a bit clearer.

I duno who writes some of these but (with a few exceptions) whenever I have to lookup something its usually better to look at a tutorial someone else has written. If you head over to MSDN you know they will make the example as complex as possible and the documentation will be written in very technical language.

Not to mention you can also get Expression Blend from DreamSpark, over on Channel8. Only if you're a student though. Luckily I had a kind friend give it to me, since my ISIC card has yet to validify.

Sounds like a cool idea, but right now I'm only doing these tutorials as a way of documenting my Expression Blend project (http://www.continental-8.com, don't ask what happened to the header, it used to look a lot nicer, I'm working on it... moving servers y'see) while helping you guys out and giving myself a good name Tongue Out

(which I hope I've done quite well).

I have however enjoyed the experience and will -definately- be doing the whole Expression Studio (sans Expression Media).

Maybe sometime in the future, say a couple of months, once I've finished all this. It wont just be videos though, there'd be a text transcript (much like mine now) since I don't always like to watch a video, and like to flick through a proper piece of paper in bed or something Smiley

Kind of miffs me it's only available with Studio, not by itself.

Well I haven't even touched it yet, and I'm led to believe it ties in well with Blend (export XAML) so maybe like:
