Riddle me this Niners, I've always had trouble with animated gifs in WPG, which for some reason I let go but now I'm having trouble looking at any kind of gif.

How could Microsoft omit a format that is so blatently wide spread?

I want my scalps!
One could argument that GIFs are not used (or should not be used) for photos. And it's Windows Photo Gallery, not Windows Image Gallery.

Yet by default, it indexes the Images folder.

Why yes:

That actually literally says "images" whereas the photo gallery is literally called "Photo Gallery".

And sure, in English it's called the Pictures folder, but that still doesn't exclusively refer to photo's. Tongue Out

Perhaps Windows Photo Gallery is the answer to another thread that haunts this desolate land? [6]

are you mocking me or agreeing with me?

and yes maybe gifs aren't used for Photos so much as Pictures if we want to get into semantics but having one program rather than multiple programs would make sense, wouldn't it?

I was actually referring to animated GIFs only... Smiley
