I'm wondering how much of an impact Yahoo! and Google have in Europe?

Here's a second thought, Nintendo and Microsoft are almost the same age I think (their the older companies in their respective niche), I wonder if this give their regulators more reason to just digg in....

Are you so intent on having no competition?

Google is big and has some great core services like search, email (still beta, can you believe it), maps/earth and docs, but I for one am thrilled to see the giants battle.

I'm just a bit disappointed that there's no real big European software giant in the league of Google and Microsoft, or a hardware giant in the league of Intel and AMD.
