Considering the wiki editor is borked in Firefox a wiki page isn't exactly the best idea.

Added bonus when I try to edit in the wiki it goes to my last edit; revison 5, rather than your edit, revision 6.

And because the wiki doesn't warn you of an edit conflict multiple simultaneous edits get lost as well.

Really, can't we just have a thread?

Javascript performance sucks in IE, though, which makes this site even more unusable than it already is.

I can't repro the Firefox editor problem. I created the page with FF3 and made my most recent edit with FF2.

Are you seeing performance problems in IE? It scoots way faster than C9 Classic here. IE 8 should help, but it's not that bad is it? Performance of the site is dependent on a lot of things and we're continuing to tweak.

Slowly over time we're making sure our controls work without javascript and will probably add an option for those who don't want (or can't) use it, but the site will be slower and a lot more data will be sent over the wire with that option.

The experience for save is kinda lame right now; it doesn't do a good job of letting you know what it's doing.

I actually haven't tried it yet... just generalizing based on every other site I've used.

Blowdart: you don't have anything weird like the Imageshack toolbar installed, do you? (see also http://channel9vip.orcsweb.com/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=356496)

If you use the image insert button in the editor you can click to see the image inline or ctrl+click (or whatever browser you use, uses for "open in new tab") and it will open the image in a new tab.

Or click them, for any posts added after they implemented the image viewer a little while ago and added using the "insert image" button (rather than dragging the image into the editor):
