Just got Mesh | The Coffeehouse

Just finished installing Mesh and have to say, friggin fantastic.

Such a well put together piece of tech, FolderShare was great but this synchronization backed up by storage on the cloud is great. Can't wait until they start expanding out that 5Gig so you can begin to really throw everything you own up there, basically, have your Documents folder just sync from PC to PC.

Live Desktop is also a pretty cool feature.

P.S. This new editor is great, in fact, whole new C9 design is pretty great. My one criticism is that it is veryhard to differentiate between read and unread posts at a glance, would be better if the icons jumped out at you more.

I got it about a week ago, pretty cool. I sent my mum an invite and set it up on her home computer and work computer. Now she doesn't need her usb disk.

It would be cool if this was integrated into Windows 7.

I love Mesh. Just got through a project with a partner using a shared Mesh folder.

Would be nice if there were more control on what types of files should be synced.

Forgot all about Mesh. I signed up on a thread here a while back and just checked connect and I am still pending Sad

What's your email address? I'll invite you (don't want to put my email up because I don't want to get flooded with requests).

The email user form is gone now, otherwise I'd just use that.

I got an email yesterday from Long Zheng's ShareMesh service that somebody had sent me an invite, but apparently it was some sort of prank, because I didn't see an invite email appear anywhere.

Anyway, I'm curious what's been happening with Mesh since the wave of Mesh videos appeared on C9.

I haven't really used any other tools like FolderShare and Skydrive so I can't really tell you how Mesh compares. I've been using IIS to be able to access some of my directories from outside my house. Downside was I had to keep my computer on.

I also tried e-mailing myself needed docs. But that required me to login to send an e-mail and then login again to retrieve it outside my house.

In Mesh, it's nice to be able to just save a document, shut my computer, and then realize I can access my edited doc from school. (only one login necessary in total)

I personally would love it just to be able to sync my WLM mail store and OneNote notebooks to the cloud and grab them from anywhere. Without it screwing up my OneNote documents. Yes WHS, I'm still bitter about that. Tongue Out
