Opera Link:Your bookmarks, Speed Dial and even notes taken in the Opera browser can follow you anywhere. Opera Link keeps you synchronized between any Opera 9.5 desktop browser and Opera Mini, Opera’s free browser for your mobile phone. In Opera 9.5 write a note — copy directions, create shopping lists or jot down anything you need to remember — and access it on any Opera 9.5 browser by simply logging in............

Where is my mind?

Wow, I just finished upgrading to 9.5 and was about to post about it, but you beat me to it.

First impression: it looks cool (new skin) and it's definitely faster: the C9 site feels a lot snappier than a few minutes ago. QuickFind (similar to Firefox's AwesomeBar) is very cool. Tonight I'll try out Opera Link (to synchronize my bookmarks and notes between my home PC, work PC and mobile phone).

Gravity is a CIA plot to keep us on Earth.
What's with that large space above the thread list?
it still feels rubbish, and has some really bad implementation of the Tab bar.. you can only customize the chrome through Opera shity looking options dilaog and even then you can't put the tab bar underneath the address/search bar.. lots noob design to be seen in Opera I could go on, ... although you could say its not as rubbish as IE7(and most likely IE8beta2) Smiley

Maxthon2 has way better features and customizability its just a shame it still has to use the IE engine really.

edit wth is it with Opera press releases and marketing..

Opera redefines Web browsing yet again

New Opera 9.5 is beautifully engineered as the centerpiece of a Web experience without boundaries

...lol

jeesh they are so far up themselves on thinking they've created such an amazing browser experience, yet there so ain't nothing about it worth talking about.. take a look around Opera ya fools. bloody hell.

I'm not sure. Must be a bug in the C9 layout Wink

Koogle, why do you always have to bad-mouth other browsers? And the only argument you have is that you can't put the Tab Bar underneath the Address Bar? That's pretty childish. I don't say Maxthon is crap, now do I? Can't you just show some respect?

Interesting that it isn't passing acid 3, I thought one of the builds before release was passing acid 3? I guess they could of gone back to a build they were happy was stable and good enough though.

Apple: reinventing the phone.
Opera: reinventing the browser.
Microsoft: reinventing the software update management interface.

Sad but true...  one of the downsides of being a company that caters largely to the enterprise Wink

One. How many time travellers does it take to change a lightbulb?

Mhm, I have the same problem as Dovella, it's crashing on C9 main page.

Though I have to say something in favour of Opera. When printing neither IE7 not Firefox allow you to access your printer dialog box, they just assume default, plain printing in enough for everyone. Last time it saved me, because I needed to print four html pages on single paper sheet and my printer is so awesome it can do that, but only Opera allowed me to go to that dialog use that option.

It finds lightbulbs.
In IE you can simply click the dropdown arrow next to the print Icon and select "Print...", right?

Ok it's mystery, I'm taking back what I've wrote for IE and Firefox, I have no idea why I didn't find those dialogs a week ago. I actually installed Opera out of desperation as at that time I was not able to find the dialog in any of those two browsers. And here it is, 2 clicks away. Stoopid me.

Perplexed

Looks related to silverlight, the faulting module npctrl.dll seems linked to silverlight at least.

Silverlight 2 Beta 2 seems to break Opera 9.5.  We are adding a "fix" today that will disable Silverlight for Opera (all versions [none are supported anyway]) and Safari for Windows (not supported either).  This might not get deployed until early next week though, so in the meantime don't run Opera 9.5 with Silverlight 2 Beta 2.  It is unsupported by us.
