The "pencil" view on the editor is broken too, but the "<>" works for me (I'm comfortable typing in HTML)

I'm typing this in FF3 (RC2 or something... I can't remember), in pencil view, having just navigated to this page...

No problemo
I've had this issue on and off. I am forced to write in the < > HTML view when this happens. It is like the editor ceases to work, I can backspace more often than not, and sometimes I can't create or type.

I've not had a solid reproduction scenario.

talking about, FF, how can I tell if I'm running RC2 or RC3... I thought it was2, but I can't remember and 3 is out and it says there are no updates...

(and help, about just says FF3 and the release notes say RC3, but their URL is just like mozilla.com/directorystructure/firefox three or something, so they obviously use the same URL for all the rc release notes)

and uhhhh.... (out of breath Tongue Out)

You can't.  On Windows, they didn't rebuild, so they're the same build ID (2008052906).

Also posting from FF3 in the Rich Text Editor (and paging works fine, as far as I can tell).

Can you specify exactly what "broken" means for paging.  Are you getting a js error?

That's really bizarre.  I'm not sure how some of it could work, but not other parts.  Expressionless  Can you clear your cache just to make sure you have the latest javascript downloaded?

A release candidate could become the final build, therefore they're branded like the final build.  There's no distinguishing marker:  when final comes out, all they have to do is rename the installer.

But then again it may not be.

It would be nice of them to at least put it in the about box.
