If you watch lastnights episode, it had a shock ending that we will be talking about for sometime, is he dead and transforming into another Dr ?????!!!!!!! ... C9's Richard Peat has explained all in his post with links to the scene's on You-Tube.

Augh! No!

We're three weeks behind here in the US...  no spoilers!  (heh...  just saw Forest of the Dead Friday night)
I've been waiting for the 'regeneration cop-out' since Tennant took over; The Dr is supposed to have a limited number of regenerations (is it 11? I can't remember the actual number).  The rate that we've been getting through Drs is increasing (one of the McCann brothers played him in that one-off they did a few years ago).  Given the apparent gruelling schedules they're working to, I don't expect any actors will sign on for more than one series at a time.  So they're going to have to come up with some cop-out before they run out regenerations.
It wouldn't surprise me at all he they made him regenerate back into himself, so they could start to break the regeneration story.  Either that or they'll use the '1 second out of synch' as a deus-ex-machina resolution.

Just keep reminding ourselves that it's actualy a children's program so we don't get carried away. Wink

Herbie

Well as DT has finished filming for the xmas special, I'd be surprised if this is a real regeneration!    His severed hand in also got several prominent shots, in the finally it was down on the floor on the right of the shot instead of its normal place on the console so I get the feeling that's going to be involved in the solution somehow.

Also this episodes just reeks of 'the big reset button' syndrome again.  Admittedly with a story based on time travel it kind of evitable that somehow the whole thing is prevented, and with such worldwide devastation, they can't really just put the planet back as is but for once a different course of events would be nice.

Anyway, I'd love them to fill in a bit more of the back story for the Time War.  There is a line about Davros meeting his end in his command ship at the jaws of the Nightmare Child.  I'm intrigued by what the Nightmare child is, if it's a warship then to me it says quite a bit about a race that would name a ship that!  Certainly doesn't conjure up an image of a peaceful race Smiley

Remember that when the doctor daughter regenerated she regenerated with the same body.
She also didn’t regenerate in quite such a spectacular fashion either Smiley
Rumor/Spoiler: Christopher Eccleston will return for short time... Why, the heck, they displaying Doctor's arm in container several times?
Nope. She wasn't dead actually. She has two hearts. It was "semi-death".
