Hi all,

I have found a .com domain that I would like to purchase. The domain name is currently owned by a private individual living in England. I live in another EC country. I have already e-mailed with the owner and agreed to speak about the transaction in a few weeks.

My question is. How do we do the stuff with the money? I am sure that he will not transfer the domain name to me without knowing that he will get the money and I am not going to transfer any money to him without knowing that I will get the domain name.

Do you have any advice for me?

the current hosting company should look after all that.. unless it isnt hosted?

I just did a similar transaction and we used a service called escrow.com. It works a little bit like paypal, but it has specific features for domain name transactions. Basically you both set up accounts on escrow.com, then you make the payment to the intermediary which will released it to the seller only once you've received the domain name on your registrar's account. Hope this helps.
