just saw it on jeff's facebook page
New Family - Jerry Seinfeld and Bill Gates (Long Version)

slowwwwllllyyy getting better

* i finally get the - 2 washed up guys that were at the top of their "respective" industries line...

also good was the end - = PC

( the humans are dead!)
loved it, so much better then the last one, my wife loved it as well.....

"who took my dentures out of the freezer"

"yup you blew a head gasket"
ya the old lady keeps doing harder and weirder things..

* bill seems to almost be pulling off an old woody allen type of thing
reminded me of annie hall dinner table - where the old lady keeps seeing him dressed like a rabi  Wink

The punchline is MUCH better in this commercial. I still stand by my prediction, that first one was purposefully terrible as a type of viral marketing. The next ones will be getting better and better and start making more sense and being more relevent.
another cool thing is that - what they seem to have done is not steal the mac/pc apple thing - (though they did) but elevate it in a - humble way.

i mean - justin long ... vs sienfeld?  hodsman vs gates?   ms has basically upped the anti by beating the characters were they were derived from = the real thing.

it is brilliant after all.

I'm white because I smelt an onion.

Heheh, this was funny. And kinda long too. Are these meant for tv?

Well this is the LONG version, I am assuming there must be a SHORT version too!
all they have to do now is FIX THE UI  Wink

* best line bill gates:  "anyone asks where you got it...you dont know!"

My name has 9 letters. Coincidence? I think not...
This one was better. Grandma with the chainsaw made me laugh. Smiley
leaf blower?

you know what it reminds me of?  Outland.

Where the familiar characters of Bloom County - all "fell" into a weird new place.. called Outland

The new strip didnt last long - was too weird. i loved it though

I feel that same "vibe" with the 2 icons strolling through normal life - like above but backwords

It's very entertaining. I wasn't expecting anything like this after seeing the first ad in the series and I'm now even more uncertain about what the next one will be, which is probably what the advertising agency was hoping for.

The nice thing about these ads is that they are explaining the Windows story without involving any of the direct confrontation apparent in the Get a Mac commercials. Microsoft's advertisements come across as friendly, conversational and honest while Apple's seem sour and disconnected in comparison.

I'm your creativity creator™ :)

They don't sell that stuff. They hand it out for free at conferences, conventions, and the like. I once got Microsoft chewing gum...
I was like WTF!? Expressionless

But it's fun. Big Smile

Still very little to do with Windows and also kinda long for a TV ad but definitely funny.

Boing!
Yeah, it's sort out of there though, better than the first one.

It works though for both in the endings, where they big up Gates, that humor works well for a usually serious Bill G.

Edit: Thanks Dovella, the Windows blog really explains it well.

Only when trust is earnt can sex and free discounts be exchanged.
I bet thats the first time anybody has used the term 'polymorphism' in a tv advert/comercial. Gate's poor acting skills just add to the comedy value and I like seeing more Seinfeld being a fan of the show. The robot at the end was great...a 'laugh out loud' moment for me.

The old woman reminds me of the "Stop Cooking With Cheese" lady Smiley

I wish more people would just link to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ instead of always watching the blurry Youtube ones.
