excuse me - do you has a flavor?
So about a month ago I finally got my Windows Media Center working. But I have a problem.

I'm using a DVB-T Tuner, because that's how we get digital TV in Denmark.

But I get no subtitles at all! From searching google, it turns out that Media Center Edition doesn't support DVB-Subtitles.

Is there any patch or anything like that I can use, third-party or third-party? My family doesn't understand foreign languages very well. So subtitles are really damn important. It kinda renders the TV useless, and a Vista home license isn't cheap. So I would *really* expect media center to support it. I'm not happy about the fact it doesn't.

Wheres my head at?
No only do you need Vista to get subtitles on DVB channels in Media Center, but you also need the "Windows Media Center TV Pack 2008" aka Fiji, which is only officially available with a new media center PC from a major OEM. It does actually work pretty well if you have all the bits required.

Does Fiji add in support for MHEG (Digital Teletext)?

Indeed; you cannot *cough* officially get the update unless it's bundled.

If you stumbled and fell down, it doesn't mean yet, that you're going in the wrong direction.
You're not alone. Calm down.
Owners of Windows Mobile devices are "happy" as same as you.

Oh come on, where would you look for leaked code? I can't be direct here!

You're dealing with a shamelessly honest Microsoft "enthusiast" here. He knows not of the black arts of torrenting.

Having subtitles in WMC/MCE is a paying-priviledge, not a right.

Consider:

"But I shouldn't have to do anything illegal to actually get my 30-day trial software work for longer!"
