its easy enough to find out all the c9 css tags with Firefox +Firebug addon... then a little help from the inspect element and the css search

Nice.

Easiest way to find elements you want to change (and prototype it right in the browser) is to do what others have suggested and just install Firefox/Firebug. That's how we develop the CSS for the site too.

I love the "ugly" RSS icon. Especially how it looks like a magnet that sticks the lower part to the background... very stylish.

I have a small request to help themes work easier...

The best part about this current Evnet C9 - is by changing the BG , youre basically done.

(I havent even been using the floating home(9guy)image - as the link is there anyway - so i put it in the background

long story longer... all the links and flyouts work on any colour - white..to black. but the links on the right:

Profile | Switch to LiveID | Sign Out

these are default white/pink - with mouseover to dark red

this sort of means in any theme - they will be too dark or too lite in one of the 2 mouseover states.

Rather than have everyone who makes a theme deal with this... it would be great if those three links were changed too:

Normal
- light gray (not light pink) = match any theme

Mouseover:
- white (so the gray lightens)

this way - by default - c9 will work with any dark header - and if its a light header - we can make the bar dark - and the mouseovers will still work (without needless css fiddling)

?

edit- even if you check it in the normal theme - it goes dark red on orange...

*all recent themes are 9theme4.jpg 5.jpg 6 7 8 so you can just try them out by changing the number

edit: and last... it would be great to be able to specify BG between coffeehouse and frontdoor

like:

bg home=9theme4.jpg coffeehouse=9theme5.jpg

also need colour of "The Coffeehouse" H1 doesnt change it

The profile links (Profile | Switch to Live ID | Log Out) are contained in a div, id #userNav... simple enough to change.

ya...but it is none the less - unfortunate coding in an otherwise perfect template.

light grey to white mouseover. done.

edit - even safer: white - and white underline on mouseover (like the other links)
