Wait a minute! Wait a minute!

Nope, was just a bundle of receipts in my jacket....thought it was a Zune.
ROFL!

But seriously ... is Europe getting the Zune this Christmas or not?

A little off topic, but: I have a friend in the States who could send me a Zune overseas, but I don't know if the power adaptor will take 220V (the prongs are different, but a prong adaptor is much cheaper and smaller than a power converter, so I could live with that). Anyone knows?

What power adapter? It charges off USB.

because when traveling one might not have access to a USB port...

I've certainly seen chargers for it with a UK adapter, though I've never bothered buying one as USB has always done the job perfectly well.

Thanks.  Btw, do you know if buying points from the States will allow me to use the zune store or downlods are IP based?

IP based. Forget it basically.

And I have a travel plug which has a USB output on it. Very handy Smiley

They do make USB/power adapters...just plug in your USB device, plug into the wall, and you're set....

I am actually after a personal music player, and I've heard a lot of good stuff about the Zune and it would be great to get my mitts on one. It just seems mysterious why in the global economy, a product targeted at developed nations is not.

Do you know how many of these you'd shift over Christmas with a little advertising? Please don't launch this in March.

That IP based thing is only since Zune 3.0, though. It did work before (at least in Germany). I loved to download the 2 free songs or videos each week. Tongue Out

Pity the DRM licenses for the three WMA files I downloaded are expired and won't download again, but I still have the license file backup. Smiley

Zunes coming to Europe any soon?
