It finds lightbulbs.
I wonder when 'eventually' will be. The rate things are going, we might see Microsoft apps pick up Mesh sometime in 2013. When everybody else has already got a better, more evolved offering.

I'm going to try Mesh for my favorites, though. I've tried it for a lot of things, and constantly found that it didn't work. Syncing the folder with all your RSS feeds doesn't work. Syncing Live Mail's mail store doesn't work. Syncing the Music folder to the Music share on WHS doesn't work. Everybody keeps telling me Mesh is so great, but currently it's just a slightly more cumbersome Synctoy that rarely works for anything that's more than a simple folder with some files, so I'm wondering which amazing feature from the Beta I overlooked.

And yeah, I understand the whole "It's a platform" thing, but that doesn't help me now. Right now, there's no SDK. It doesn't sync any data other than files. There's no amazing cross-device syncing. There's just a small application that allows me to sync files across my Windows PC's... and that doesn't include a Windows server.

In beta (yes, I know, I'm an idiot) Mesh deleted some of my files irrecoverably. I never forgave it.

My name has 9 letters. Coincidence? I think not...
I tried Mesh briefly, it was horribly broken. It failed to install the Mesh RDP service and kept telling me about that, all attempts to fix that failed. It also told me that there was an update available (even though there wasn't) several times per day. I had the same experience on multiple computers. It was far, far slower than FolderShare and didn't manage to sync some folders at all.

I swiftly switched back to FolderShare, which works much better. I use that to synchonize my favorites btw, which work fine although it currently doesn't support files with non-ASCII file names so some Japanese favorites are left out. Apparently the next version (which will be rebranded Live Sync) will fix that. I do wish there was some way to synchronize RSS feeds using the Windows RSS platform (which I read using Outlook 2007), including their read state, between computers.

If you stumbled and fell down, it doesn't mean yet, that you're going in the wrong direction.
Is "Live Photo Gallery" stupid white background fixed? Is it changeable now?

PS: ... Don't think so...

It's not fixed. Background still is white and not adjustable...

lol...is she bowing to the almighty screen shots?
Microsoft needs to remove the ads from Live Messenger.

Competitors, like Google with Google Talk have no ads. Ads just make the messenger look horrible. Make it stop.

Thank God for Apatch though...
Maybe we need a new term? Crippleware - or maybe that already exists.
You speaketh the truth!

I would pay for loosing the advertisements Sad

Is that a water she has in her hands? Either she's really happy about spilling boiling water in her lap, or there's something fun going on below her neck. Hubba.
