Human after all
Just finished this today and I actually really enjoyed it.. there were some parts that were amazingly frustrating but completing them was sweet.. they did really well making the control of it usable, you can chain together some really cool moves like wall running jumping off towards some guy and cave his face in with a spinning kick..

You could should try the demo (360 and PS3 so far I think) - theres a PC version coming out in a couple of weeks which aparently has some additional physx enhanced content (if you have a modern nvidia card or a dedicated physx card (yea right!)) so I assume they'll be a PC demo out soon, although I think you really need a console controller to get the feel for it.

(theres also a second motive to creating this topic, can you guess!)

If Blackberrys are addictive cellphones, Channel9 is the ultimate addictive website.
I love Mirrors Edge's world, the clean white/colour scheme is fantastic! While I found it a bit frustrating at times, overall it was pretty cool. Completing it sans weaponry for the 80G though? Not gonna happen....

But yeah, 10/10 for fun factor. 3/10 for plot - You're Faith. You like to run away from baddies. For all we know, you're the baddie. Plot = sucky. But this puts fun back into gaming, too many stories are getting wrapped up in their own stories that gameplay is suffering. M/E probably pushes the gamplay over plot thing a bit too far, but who cares. It's fun!

It finds lightbulbs.
I only played the demo, but from what I gather from reviews it has the same problem Thief had at the time... they create a brilliant game mechanic for certain environments, and then let you spend 80% of the game in an environment not suited towards that environment.

My name is Dave Oliver. I'm a Technical Architect.
I didn't enjoy the game, I found it too frustrating and some of the basic concepts such as why over roofs all the time a little bewildering?

I think games like Crackdown and Assassin Creed had the roof-top action thing licked! Actually Microsoft a sequel to Crackdown would be good, I enjoyed that game more than GTA !!!
