Only Proprietary software vendors deal in absolutes.
Like Windows 7 and its Mac interface and Linux killer MinWin proved to be a failure, so did another Microsoft backed system.  rj announced on his distro page that he will quit developing his distro.  I wont mention the name to not raise his Google ranking.  This just proves I am right, go ahead and say it.  Microsoft should take a note from their failed investment.  Windows doesnt bring anything to this industry and development should cease and desist .  Microsoft should leave it to the pro's to deliver OS's.  So good luck to rj and his failures and 2009 is the year of the Linux desktop.

gNewSense RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!
happy new year corona

Nice try: he's discontinuing the PowerPC version, not the whole thing.

Microsoft should leave it to the pro's to deliver OS's.

So, beside being utterly unable to read, you finally found out where the apostrophe on your keyboard is...

Only to use it in the wrong place everytime.

You really are an endless source of amusement Smiley

Discontinuing a release is the same as discontinuing everything.

Then I guess Linux has been discontinued.
With every release it keeps getting popular and I just dont get it.

You didn't take the hint? Maybe that's the problem...

Oh look, a new distro (http://zevenos.com/). That's pretty cool, I'm getting the ISO now to see what it's about. Thanks for pointing out all these cool new distros, unfortunately it will just make their ranking go up in Distrowatch...

Microsoft should leave it to the pro's to deliver OS's.

Quoting from Wikipedia (That knows everything...)
In western nations, such as the United States, the term commonly describes highly educated, mostly salaried workers, who enjoy considerable work autonomy, economic security, a comfortable salary, and are commonly engaged in creative and intellectually challenging work.

My input....this doesn't (<- Correct apostrophe usage) sound like the Linux field....for example.

Myself, No Degree (highly educated I am not), mostly salaried (I was hourly contract), work autonomy (Teamwork YAY! I had 30+ dev on my team), economic security (I got laid off), comfortable salary (ok, I'll admit that), and engaged in creative and intellectually challenging work(uh, nope).....what did I do? Linux coding for IBM.

YAY for 2021, the year of the Linux desktop.

Mind you... there are other possible meanings for 'Pro'.

pro
Informal
1. short for professional
2. a prostitute

Perhaps Corona meant something entirely different ??
