Saw this via Robby Ingebretsen's blog and figured some of you might get a kick out of it.

The article says not to quote without permission so if you're interested you'll have to look at the pdf. Basically it says that a long-time Mac user doesn't even see crashes on a Mac, while he spots every one on Windows.

Isn't scientific research amazing. Perplexed

It finds lightbulbs.

Now that I've read the PDF, I'm convinced that it's an amazingly undercooled work of comedy. The paragraph about the oral administration of apples versus exposure to Apple computers was pushing it too far and gave it away, but otherwise it is a masterpiece.

And the lesion shaped like an Apple logo on its side on Page 2 did not give it away...

Heh Its a scream.....

Whoa, I didn't even notice that! Fantastic. Oh, Rotate Left 90° feature, you continue to mock me.

I hope Robby Ingebretsen re-checks some of the sources he's using for that book of his...

My name has 9 letters. Coincidence? I think not...
The fact that they cite "The Emperor's New Clothes" by Hans Christian Andersen as a reference (although not by name in the main text, they just refer to a case of "nakedness blindness" documented by Andersen, using only his last name) is also a dead giveaway. Smiley

That's actually what I loved about it. He could've made that reference much more blatantly obvious by giving it with his full name in the text, but you have to actually scout the references section at the end to find the real gems. My personal favorite is the reference to a character from Terry Pratchett's Good Omens, although "7 days post creation" is pushing it. Smiley
