&lt;p&gt;- right click on the taskbar&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- select Toolbars&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- New Toolbar...&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;- in the Folder field, type in: &amp;nbsp;%AppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch then click the Select Folder button&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Your Quick Launch Toolbar&amp;nbsp;is restored. You&amp;nbsp;can&amp;nbsp;now adjust to taste, such as unchecking Show Text or Show Title, etc...&amp;nbsp; Hope this helps :-)&lt;/p&gt;

When you do this, you get a link to MMC and opens without snap-ins.&lt;BR&gt;I think pinning to the taskbar should give a choice whenever you want to add a program to the taskbar that has been launched with parameters, so you can decide whether to open a sole application, or when you want to have it launched with the specific command parameters. This is how I feel few months ago (you know PDC). The desktop button is not easy to get use to, but I think it is a good decision. For one, you are not really switching to Desktop anymore. You just blindly move your mouse to the corner and now you see your desktop, mostly for Gadgets. Or you click it as always, but you no longer need to aim for the button, just a quick blind corner mouse movement.
