I never saw that icon displayed for a SMB network shared (in Vista/Win7). However it does show up for ftp/http(webdav) shares. Unfortunately in that case it's not only the icon(s) that is old but the whole feature. I'm wondering if anyone is using it anyway.

hah... why do we find those bugs only during betas? That's been in the icon for the host computer shares in Virtual PC for years... noone complained... oh and as a sidenote it's the icon from Win98/2k/ME because Win95 only had high color icons when you had the Plus! pack with themes installed, and then again it didn't come with those new 256 color icons in user32.dll but the ones from cool.dll (they're still there as they only replaced the High Color/XP format ones, go figure!)
