Yup. Which is why I'm going SSD on the laptop I'm getting next week. I'm probably gonna go with a Latitude E4300 with an 128GB SSD. Truth be told, though, 64 ought to be enough - all my data is on an external disk anyhow.

The m1330's hard drive hits one of the issues tested for in the new tests, that's why it scores so low (and lower than it did on Vista).

As you can see, the hard disk in my desktop has the same problem. This is because I installed Windows 7 on my second, older hard disk. I used winsat from the command line to test my primary hard disk (which currently still has Vista on it), and it scores a 5.9, so once I get rid of Vista and install Win7 on that disk my overall score will be a 5.9 too. Is the issue here not that most users purchase a laptop with a 5400 RPM hard drive when they should opt for a 7200 one. I know worth Dell only the XPS laptops have the option to upgrade the hard drive, everything else is 5400?

I do have a 7200RPM hard drive, both in my laptop and desktop, and they still score a 3.0 and 2.9 respectively. Read the article I linked to, it explains why this is.
