Lee uses a Mac, the message was a viral spam the claims to have detected malware on his computer which it asserts to be running Windows.
That's nothing compares to someone using my email address to send virus and it all bounce back to my account. I thought I got an virus. But, since I was using web based interface, the virus couldn't do that anyway.

You know how SMTP works, right? Anyone can send an email claiming to be from anyone. That's why SPF and SenderID were created.

It occasionally happens to me. Spambots trawl the web and usenet for harvestable email addresses then send email claiming to be from those addresses. Since those addresses are used by real people (and not randomly generated) it means basic spam-protection (like DNS lookup to ensure a sending domain exists) can't protect against these attacks.

Sicne you say it's web-based I'm assuming you're with one of the larger providers like Hotmail or Gmail. They already have SPF/SenderID working, so the number of NDR bouncebacks you're getting is less than it could be if they didn't. Nothing you can do about it unfortunately, unless you feel you can remove your email address from the searchable web. It'd be easier to get a new address and start-over.

Please use descriptive subjects for new threads so we know what you are talking about. 'How Strange' does nothing for me.
I know. Email is just like mail, anyone can write sender to anything they want. It is so easy, I even know a free site making those emails, but, they don't have attachment feature for me to send virus, lol.
