It seems to me as if Channel 9 got faster... I'm haven't been here for like a week (vacation and other stuff) and right now it seems to be really snappy. Did you guys change something? If so: thank you very much! Smiley

Human after all

Yea I noticed this last week, its hugely faster now.. aparently they reworked the data access and moved to better sql hardware (think it was sql anyway).

Great work guys

(ps, took someone long enough to say something Tongue Out)

I'm on my very last life.

I'm still encountering flakiness with posting.

Click on add and sometimes it's quick, and everything works the ways you would expect... other times nothing happens for 30sec or so before the AJAX "loading" overlay is eventually displayed, and then the update is as expected... other times the AJAX overlay is displayed and then there is and interminable delay before the page is actually updated... while occasionally it simply fails – and you may or may-not find that it actually posted. Clearly, there are still issues there to be resolved.

We have more work to do. Smiley See my response in the editor thread at http://channel9.msdn.com/forums/Coffeehouse/468867-The-New-Channel-9-Editor/?CommentID=469767

Note to self: Found a weird bug as a posted this where we were stripping out channel9.msdn.com from the link upon post.

Yeah, we are working on that. Seems it is the default behaviour of the editor and we are changing that now.

The mouse in server 4 was dead and replaced with a stronger, larger hamster.

Yup, I think you're right.

We're back to the speeds we were enjoying two years ago. And the new editor has a kind of retro feel to it, but at least it works

It's only faster for me when I'm not waiting on Webtrends to load, which most times feels very, very, very, long. Why do you hold up the page loading for that?

i always complain about speed in toronto - but yes - its faster now.
