Apparently Starter Edition no-longer is limited to 3 simultaneous applications, but instead up to a 15W TDP processor.

Not only is this a more sensible approach, but it'll force the CPU MFGs to make more leaner and efficient processors. I applaud Microsoft for making this descision.

Fatalism.

Yes, it's a good move. People will complain less, though from what I've heard the 3-app limit was hardly onerous. Still, this is a better idea.
