Two Sides to Everything

One of my colleague is looking for a Mono Shared Webhost for hosting a application provided to customers on ASP format. Their .net web-service application is compatible to Mono 2 and above and mysql.  But currently being a small sized provider they would like to go for a shared hosting. The guy would like to have quite a bit space and bandwidth with multiple subdomains if possible.

I found some references on http://www.mono-project.com/FAQ:_ASP.NET about some hosting providers.

Has anyone used these providers ?  How was your experience ? Any other suggestions ?

Thanks

What's the advantage of Mono hosting when ASP.NET hosting is already available at a relatively low price already?

Before C# there was darkness...

Can't recommend any for linux.  If it was windows, then discountasp.net would be a good choice for as low as $10 a month.  Others have mysql (discountasp dropped mysql for some reason).

I would only comment on. "I think all these are easier on Linux compared to Windows Hosting."
I think maybe people still don't know. VSExpress is free and easy, SqlExpress is free and easy, iis7 is free with vista, php has .net version.  You can also control iis7 and sql remotely with the native tools.  Not sure I buy this easier or cheaper argument any more.  In fact, using IIS7 manager and sql manager remotely is about is as sweet as it gets.
