When I clicked on the URL to accept the invite I recieved this message:

The invitation code you entered is invalid, assigned to another person, or else the program is no longer accepting invitations.

The invite was sent to my gmail address instead of my live.com address so I registered a Connect account with my gmail address and I get the same message.

Did it give a big guid error code? Mine threw an error when I clicked on the link. I was able to log directly into Connect and accept the invitation from my dashboard.

I had the same problem but just copy the link below the click label into the browser and it works.

I have the similiar issue. The link provided in the invitation email was not working (with the same error as yours). Then I noticed, that I'm logging in with different Live ID, with different email address than I was registered in a participation program. Then I did relogin with the right email address and saw the "accept" link in my dashboard. And it worked. Wink

Maybe it's because originally I didn't have a Passport or Connect account for my gmail address and I signed up for the tech preview under my gmail address... I don't know how I'm supposed to get around the issue then

Copy the invite code out of the URL. That is what I did.

No I did that and it didn't work...

But I just found out, the Office 2010 invite became linked to another, third e-mail address, my hotmail address, that I don't even use anymore. I signed up for Connect under the hotmail address and the link for the Office 2010 program was in my dashboard.

Wow, that sucks.

Basically what happened for me is the invite was sent to my university account (which has a .net passport, it is Outlook Live). I have all my betas on my hotmail account. I copied the invite code out of the url signed in with my hotmail account and added it to my connect dashboard.
