Because he wants to mirror an existing setup? Because clients are running 2003 R2? Because the latest and greatest is sometimes not the best? (For example the geneva bits do not work on 2008 R2 because IIS has changed in an incompatible way)

I wouldn't worry about it. Unless that hiccup will screw over other http modules, it might. It's not like you're going to be federating your home AD identity with corporations now is it?

Actually, I just wanted to enabled FrontPage Server extension on this box...

And... OMFG...

Since it's has SP2, it's asking for the 400MB SP2 download... I obliged...

Then it wanted the original install media... because... get this... it's looking for an effing .htm help file...

I guess I will download the 2 .iso files too... Not sure if I can mount the .iso and network share it...

I remember when they first added inline images to web browsers and there was a lot of opposition to it on the basis that it was a huge waste of bandwidth transferring all these image files around. Now look! Smiley
