The late 90's/early 00's called, they want their dull 'microsoft makes lame products' joke back.. on the grounds that since microsoft has proven to make cool hardware.. lest we not forget the 360 really is now the king of consoles and destroyed sonys long standing stagnent 'just HOW long can we keep the ps2 going' strategy.. although I must admit there was a morbid sense of curiousity wanting to watch sony resuscitate the ps2 every year..

Everyone might have bought a wii, but nobody plays the them.

Oh please, I need to ask everyone to _know_ damn.. here was me thinking if I had enough friends who had them and felt the same way, and various consensuses online (ign, gttv, gamespot, yadda yadda yadda) that would be enough.. the wii is a fad, not a console.. and whilst it fads away slowly the real consoles are readying themselves to make the wii obsolete by unfadding the fad.. after all, fads die once they peak.

I'm not predicting doom, once the fad ends it'll just be a dull little console, and no- none of them are hardcore gamers.. we just don't play homosexual games like the sims.. and yea casual gaming is a big market but hmm, nah the wii just aint that.. the wii adverts say this is a sit down family console.. and interesting angle sure its powered their fad.. just how easy can it be for a kid to convince their 'rents for a wii considering the price and oh mummy you can play it too.. uh sure- I remember playing monopoly once or twice with my entire close family.. we even sat down at christmas with the wii and 'the family' proceeded to wave the remote around for 2 minutes, laugh and then go on to do more important things.. such fill in a crossword puzzle.

The commercials paint this pretty picture of this amazing console that spreads across all generations, but the reality is we'd rather sit watching the tv and doing crossword puzzles.
