"This is not war, this is pest control!" - Dalek to Cyberman

The biggest problem I have found with bing is it's spell checker, it's no where near as good as googles at picking out what I actually meant to type from the rubish I actually did!

This is how it feels when you do not upgrade to the latest technology...

To be honest- I never opened the site at all not even once. Till few days ago, thought of checking the results and typed in the address www.bingle.com and i was ...wt.? and Oh i saw it  there in address bar and replaced bin with goo.

Phew!

By default hands goes for typing Google.

They say success comes by hard-work as I managed to type in the correct address where I was in need of searching article related to CMMi level 2, results were same as Google.

By the way the string "define: bong" brings the definition  of the word in google, but not the same in bing; it brings links. It was not like this in msn search (as i remember).

Maybe Google-addicted (like me), should make Bing.com the default homepage of their browser (Chrome, ahemn) while still using Google as the overall search provider for the browser. That will remind you of trying out Bing once in a while and will get you an inspiring photo every day. And then if experience shows that Bing really is better (don't have enough experience), then it's an easy shift...

I bing all the time. It gets the result I wanted. Although I don't know where to buy bing drinks.

My name has 9 letters. Coincidence? I think not...

Gandalf's line was "flee, you fools", not "follow". I didn't understand a word of the rest of your post.

ok everyone wants seriousness - bing doesnt deliver.  images, info, articles, especially articles - or even porn! (shudder)

it doesnt do a good job of delivering anything - even NEWS

sorry

*it seems to have a leg up on ecommerce / big box search - but thats it

..and thats not so bad - if marketed that way

BING to BUY  (B2B)

edit:  bing - why search the internet - when you only need to search the 4 big box stores nearest to you etc

"Corporate Search" Brought to you by the Ballmer Administration

whadever - i hate steve - you guys love him  K sura sura

edit - re - i hate steve - only as leader of ms. apart from that - i love steve.

I bing and i like it ...

One small issue makes me still have to use google once in a while ... if i don't know how to spell a word i go to google and search for it. Google says "Did you mean: <Correct spelling>". I can click the suggested spelling, the page reloads and the correct spelling is copy / paste ready in the search box. Easy.

Bing on the otherhands tries to be user friendly ... it executes a search with the correct spelling and the incorrect spelling ... making it really really hard to figure out how to spell that word...

I know Bing (or google) is not a dictionary ... but this i how I use it ... and a lot of coworkers are doing the exact same thing.

... and, Yes i have submitted this to Bing Wink

PS: I have noticed that my teenage niece and her friend are all using bing ... not because they are searching a lot ...but because they like to look at the nice pictures everytime they start the browser ... i like that as well ... does that mean that i can call myself a teenager Smiley

Actually, Gandalf's line was "fly you fools".

I CAN has cheezburger and you CAN'T has stop me!

I thought Bing's video search feature was supposed to pwn Google's for naughty sites?

For me it's mostly 75% of the time Bing, and the other 25% Google or Dogpile. I'm in love with Bing, specially the image search thing.

I just tested that, you're right. Wink

Does Bing only re-scan sites very infrequently?

I put a page on my site on 15th August and if I search for the title, or similar phrases, Google finds (as the top three entries) the page itself, the table-of-contents page that links to the page in question, and the post on my "new stuff on my site" blog that links to the page. Plus (after those three results) about 270 other pages that have similar words.

If I search Bing for the same phrases it finds absolutely nothing. (It does find some of my other, older pages, though.)

Perhaps it says more about my site/page than it says about Bing. Smiley Still, I'm kinda surprised that an exact title match isn't found three weeks later.
