Interesting piece.

"Mr. Lu’s colleagues at Yahoo and Microsoft say his intellect is matched only by his work habits. He sleeps three to four hours a night. One most weekdays, he wakes up around 4 a.m., goes through his e-mail and runs four miles on a treadmill while listening to classical music or watching thenews."

LOLZ, it's not worth it. Not unless you own the company.

While this is an interesting personal profile, it says nothing about the guy's approach to running a search service and business, either technically or organizationally. I realize this is a mainstream publication but surely they could find some way to present some degree of substance to a lay audience.

In the extreme, search must be an AI problem, so quite fascinating. Also, I believe a previous Live Search interview revealed that the search engine is using neural nets.
