This looks like it could be interesting. I wonder if the windows blinds guys are behind this.

I remember looking at the Cairo desktop screen concepts from back in 2000 and thought they were pretty cool. Take a look:

Always a step ahead in stupidity.

I tried a weird alpha version of Cairo about 2 months ago, and all it did was just crash repeatedly. Maybe this version will be better and actually load properly.

Also, there were some versions of Cairo before this one and they suddenly disappeared with a announcement that all source code was lost due to a disk crash. Not very professional...

Monkey see, monkey do, monkey will destroy you!

It looks like the mutant offspring of Vista, Mac OS X, GNOME and XFCE. And frankly, I don't see anything "Intuitive" about it.

Windows 7 Taskbar FTW!!

Yeah, I really see no benifit of using that. Frankly I see no personality to their project, just like DCMonkey siad, just a bunch of feature copied from here and there.

If you want to access files from desktop directly, I already did a program for that, and I published that to upload.com today like 5AM. It is called miniWE. A really simple pop up serve as both quick launch bar and windows explore. Here is a link to my SkyDrive Smiley
