The Master of Baiters

Hmm, my CS school's IT guys have rolled out Windows 7 on all the machines in our two Windows labs. I'm surprised, I'll admit, because we were perfectly happy with our Windows XP systems. I'll be able to give it a go when term starts next week.

...just so long as they haven't gimped the Taskbar Properties via Group Policy. I wonder if we'll get Aero.

Has your school deployed yet?

My company is also in the process of creating new images for all our laptops.

I ofcourse, as a Microsoft developer, installed my own laptop with Windows 7. I am also very happy with the system. I really really like the new taskbar! I never use the start menu anymore.

But I still wonder, if Vista wasnt that slow (let's face it, it is), would I still be so happy?

My school hasn't deployed yet (I work/teach/take classes for a university), but I upgraded my laptop already.  Working very nicely.

Upgraded my laptop and everyone at my classes are envious....they're still on XP at college here so who knows what'll happen...

BUT!

This should really speak to 7's ability as Vista didn't even get a glance, yet 7's already flying above it.

Still XP on the CS labs and Vista on the non-CS labs. My MSDNAA account still doesn't have Windows 7 even though there's a banner saying otherwise on the MSDNAA site, guess the IT people here are just slow.
