Crap ... that's nice ... I have been trying to install TFS on our dev server, but I keep getting error upon error upon error ... pretty soon I won't have any hair left ...  Mad

???

Now for the prices of the Team SKU's of VS to go down a bit....

and they still have not said they are going to "retire" VSS.

I would really like to see a VS and MSDN package for 1-4 person shops where TFS and some of the team sku tools were offered for right about the price of VS pro with msdn ....  say make the msdn premium package do this for $1,600 US and make mdsn pro with VS be under a grand then VS alone could drop a bit in price, it's what about 800 now? make it 600.

Looks very nice, but if the goal is to attract the smaller players... I think DVCS systems such as Git, Mercurial and Bazaar will make it difficult. Next version, TFS should have some "hybrid" DVCS capabilities. Local version control that can be periodically pushed to a central TFS server, where the advanced build/reporting services run. People are doing this today with multiple tooling (http://blog.jredville.com/2009/07/21/git-tfs-integration-background/), but that's not all that attractive to the "little guy" development shops.

UI looks clean Smiley.  If not already, I might think about making it general enouph to also use for general team tasks (non Dev related). Keep us posted.

He should stop referencing Source Safe, as I almost stopped reading.  I run from SS like the wind and have bad dreams for days after seeing the name...

It's a completely new tool...

That doesn't mean it makes sense to post the exact same thing twice Smiley

Mmm... that is going to look so pretty running on my Windows Home Server Smiley

Here's hoping they can get the pricing right for the home user/hobbyist and not just the small business… otherwise Paulo might win.

Oh hai,

It's an issue management app, written in Silverlight 3 and RIA Services. It's basic but it supports user roles, multiple projects and customizable categories; it's basically geared towards enthusiast devs in small groups that need a way to track bugs and work items.

Once it's done (soon enough), it will be available for free.

I may even put the source out Smiley

Note: I just noticed the problem, I posted twice because the first time I pressed Add, the site hung Smiley

Wow a bug tracker with a decent UI, this might be a first. Looks really nice.

I don't need a pretty UI, all I need is integration with VS which provides its own UI.

what is your website for this new tool? Where can we find more information?

Thanks

There is no wete, as the tool is not done yet. But it's getting closer.

And it can be skinned (kinda) Smiley

(was just playing with the styling to see how easy is to change the appearance of the whole app in a few lines... Smiley)
