I want my scalps!

You can download it at one of the abandonware website:

I guess Kanye West doesn't get much publicity in Belgium.

It doesn't work on Vista because it requires full screen and since Vista you can't run dos apps full screen. Stunts has the same problem (which I bugged during the beta).

It is weird that there was a big hate bandwagon about Vista and now there's a big love bandwagon about 7, when they're not that different. 7 is better, obviously, but not so different that it should change someone from hate to love.

I've always viewed Windows 7 as Phase Two of the Mojave Project.  People's simultaneous love for Windows 7 and their hate for Windows Vista just proves beyond a doubt the message that I got out of Mojave -- that most of the Vista haters never even saw the box it came in, let alone used it.

/change the glass tint + wallpaper + sounds + cursors = new vista theme! not!

Oh and if you really love the look of Vista, yeah you can get it on XP too (and your PC will still run faster):

things go on as always

I was running Vista on an older computer with 2GB RAM and had no problems with speed, and had no problems with drivers, except for the 64-bit version--where I would be having problems with 64-bit XP drivers as well. I was also running it since the CTP and had no problems with the beta versions either.

I was pretty upset that HP sold me a 64-bit computer which didn't have 64-bit drivers for all the hardware.

My name has 9 letters. Coincidence? I think not...

If you want to run old DOS games, you're far better off using DOSBox than trying to coerce the NTVDM into cooperating, especially if you want sound. And if, like me, you run the x64 version, you have no choice since x64 can't run DOS applications at all anymore. DOSBox does the job admirably for nearly every game I've tried, though. I know for a fact Stunts works on it. Smiley

EDIT:

Stunts on DOSBox

That seems unfair on Vista. None of those themes came with XP out of the box (or worked at all without 3rd party add-ons/hacks).

I do still wonder why Vista (and 7) doesn't ship with the Luna theme, though. In situations where you can't use Aero/DWM I think the fallback theme in Vista is pretty ugly and Luna would look better.

(Luna Silver with the titlebars reduced to Win95 size, and the progress-bar and selected-item colours changed to something other than grey-on-grey, that is. Smiley )
