Really Cool water feature created by a Japanese Company Koei ( http://www.koeiaquatec.co.jp/ ).

 

For me Fonts look like Windows Fonts ....   May be deskjet/Laerjet printing like  technology on a large scale ...

Ask them. Though, my guess is serial interface control, BREW devices are very common for things like that, too.

I am not sure about the exact technology .. but from designers point of view it makes sense to use existing framework like that on Windows or PCs so that design/content creation can be more easy ... and then that data can be processed in device specific manner

 

Anyway hats off to their creative thinking and design skills.

Yeah, it seem to be doable using PC and feed the printer like technology. But, they probably make it an embeded system so you have to call them for changing graphics and stuff.
