Nice work this Beta 2. Even the splashscreen looks good. And the blurry text seems to be gone.

how do you like the perf improvements? more is to come Tongue Out

I don't know if this has already been covered, but for those of us without the Betas, are the solution and project file formats the same as VS2008, or do we have to convert them again (like we did from 2005 to 2008) ?

yes, but it's really for users sake, e.g. (among other things) if we would replace a tool or task your project is using, we could do clever things during upgrade like replacing the task or issue a warning, and save you from trouble

Thanks, forewarned is forearmed.

We're still on VS2005 because having to perform any kind of upgrade on the source is seen as a risk and so has to happen during a 'quiet period' of which, of course, there are none.

Same arguments will be applied to VS2010 it seems.

Yeah. Speed is nice Smiley Great stuff so far. Now let's make this the best VS evar!

we had the same issue (VS2005 -> VS2008) at the company I used to work for, before joining Microsoft, we would upgrade the project after every get and drop the project (.csproj etc.) and solution (.sln) changes before any check-in, it wasn't funny but it worked
