They introduced a lot of other mildly interesting stuff too, but this kind of highlights the difference between the two companies. 

 

While MS was showing bizarre multi-touch mouse prototypes a few weeks back, Apple just went out and released the thing.

 

Has Apple finally released a mouse actually meant for people to use? We shall see.

It's not close to what microsoft released. They don't really do multitouch... They do reconize two finger wipes.
