I'm trying to remember the name of an old shareware game for Windows 95. You were this little spaceship and you were constantly moving forward. You moved with the arrows and you hit the spacebar to jump. I remember it was colorful and it had cool music (or so I thought when I was a little kid).

Anyone?

Asteroids?

Spaceships can jump? Tongue Out

It doesn't ring any bells for me.

Xatax?

It's DOS, though...

I suggest that you prepare for a wild party, because I think I have found the game you're talking about!

When you wrote that the ship was able to jump, and it was a forward scroller I immediately remembered a game that I had on a shareware CD  13-14 years ago. I searched for the CD and found it! is it this game:

"Skyroads"

skyroads

skyroads 2

It is from 1993 though, and for DOS.

And finally, here is the original DOS version:
